So true-don’t need millions, just need good composition. (But money can help!) Good selections and observations! I’m behind on my Substack reading but want to get to your other lists from different decades. Particularly curious about the ‘70s list
I started these lists off for fun but the more I get into them, the more I'm actually learning to think about composition and cinematography than I have in the last 10 years or so. The 70s was one of the hardest lists! I had to leave out so many choices, that I might just start doing lists for each year.
It's nice to see you active again on Substack, it felt like you'd been quiet for a while!
Thanks for this list DL. I wish that I had been collecting favorite shots from my get go. It is another nice way to hang onto the memories. And thanks for including a couple of the movies I got to support in my Amazon years. I am so glad we got to be part of COLD WAR and THE HANDMAIDEN.
